The Tiger Electric Scooter, also called the Powercat Tiger Electric Scooter is one of the more well
built scooters that we have reviewed. The scooter features a rear chain drive system as typically
chains are more reliable or sturdy than most belt driven drive systems. Moreover, the chain does not
break as easily and needs less frequent replacement. The Tiger Electric Scooter also has a 350 Watt
rare earth motor that delivers a good amount of power. The Tiger's top speed is 15 mph and the tiger
can take most grades. The variable throttle on the electric scooter lets the user vary the speed of
the scooter depending on the terrain, people around, and desired speed.
The scooter is not extremely lightweight, but for the size and features, the weight is more than
resonable. The scooter also comes in attractive colors like orange. Normally ornage is not the
ideal color, but on the Tiger electric scooter orange more than works. The scooter comes standard
with nice features like a basket and a rack on the back to hold. These make the scooter perfect for
short trips and the basket can be used to carry groceries, supplies, or other items. The scooter
looks good too and was designed with appearence in mind. The 12 inch tires are provide a nice look
to the scooter and help riders to make it over rough spots in the road. The handlebars also fold
down allow a rider to place the Tiger in a large bag or in the trunk of a car. Although the tiger
is not a tiny scooter, the folding size is sufficient.
In addition the tiger also has a unique drive system that lets a rider freewheel when the motor is
not engaged. This is helpful since it saves the battery going downhill. Moreover, the freewheel
capability is helpful when the battery is completely drained. Unlike other scooters, the Tiger can
move when the battery has been drained since a rider can use it as a kick scooter. The Tiger also
has a hand braking system that is easy to access when rider. Additional features like the battery
charge indicator level lights make this scooter a pleasure to ride.
